The Best Sports Bras & Swimwear Brands That Are Actually Size Inclusive

May 31, 2020

Finding size inclusive clothing on the high-street is infuriatingly difficult and sports bras and swimwear are notoriously hard to find. Bigger bust bras and bikinis are often more expensive. The designs are often frumpier, less trend-led and you end up feeling like you’re covering up your boobs with scaffolding, rather than embracing them in a design you actually like. Which ends up in so many people wearing the wrong sized bra and ill fitted swimwear— worrying about ‘spilling out’ and dealing with the dreaded ‘four-boob’ than just getting on with your damn day.

So we’ve sifted through the frump, to find the bigger bust bras and bikinis that will support all sizes— from AAA to H+.

Panache Anya Stripe Underwired Bandeau Bikini Top, £34 (sizes D to G)

Don’t get me wrong, some of the brands stocked on Figleaves are a little bit frumpy looking, but they’re a good place to start when you’re looking for fuller bust swimwear. Brands like Panache, Figleaves own brand and Freya Swim are especially great for bigger sizes.

Beija London

Dreamboat Z Bikini Top in Lychee, £65 (sizes 30E to 36G)

Monday Swimwear

Monday Swimwear Clovelly Top, $94 (£50) – sizes P to VV (equivalent to AAA to G+)

Monday Swimwear Jamaica Top in Kiwi Rib, $92

Based in Australia (but offering international shipping) Monday Swimwear was one of the first ‘instagram-born’ swimwear brands that actually offers a decent size range and trend-led styles.

Asri Swim

The Jade Top, £37

Asri Swim offers sustainable swimwear for all sizes. The brand (that’s handcrafted in Bali) uses planet conscious fabrics— recycling fishing nets and other ocean waste and caters up to a UK size 22.

The Fold Swim

The Tri Black, £86

The Fold is more on the expensive side, but their entire range is not only catered for women with bigger boobs— but every single piece is gorgeous, and not at all matronly. (also available at Selfridges)

Toco Swim

Toco Swim Cuevas Top, £35

Toco sizes up to an E cup— while this isn’t as inclusive as the former brands mentioned, it’s still a lot more inclusive than most of the other independent swimwear brands out there.

Sports Bras

When it comes to sports bras, it’s important you feel supported – rather than compressed. Whilst they might not be the sexiest of items, these sports bras are recommended for women with bigger boobs…

Panache Underwired Sports Bra, £42 (sizes 30DD – 36G)

Freya Sports Crop Top Bra, £42 (sizes 30D – 36G)
